Hello. As one or two of you may know, I have Multiple Sclerosis and was forced to retired from teaching this past February. Retirement has its compensation, though. The 2009 Next Generation Indie Book Awards have announced that Last Call is a finalist in a number of categories including General Fiction/Novel, Best Regional Fiction, Best Cover Design and Best Overall Design.
Although I had absolutely nothing to do with the Cover Design or Overall Design (Amy Collins and the gang at The Cadence Group) I am ecstatic.
Earlier this year, Last Call was announced as a finalist by ForeWord Magazine as 2008 Book of the Year in the fiction category and won the Reader Views 2008 Award for Best Regional Fiction.
Who would of thought that a poor sharecrooper from South Alabama would’ve….wait……… thats Patches……… Never mind.
