New Book – Grandfather and the Raven

“Follow the adventures of Grandfather Ueda and his pal Sir Raven as they solve a mystery of missing golf balls from a local driving range, rescue a boy, cheer a runner to a high school championship, investigate a “bird lice infestation”, chase away a grocery thief, call an unruly meeting to order in a surprising way, meet a dog that looks and sounds like a bear when he growls, and generally have a great good time wondering what this pair will be up to next.
“These are the kind of stories that grandfathers have told throughout the ages, leaving the reader and hearer with a sense of adventure, fun and good humor — especially when grandmother and grandfather have their little disagreements! Enjoyable for all ages.”

Published by Abbott ePublishing, Manchester, New Hampshire. To order Grandfather and the Raven, go to www.abbottepub.com.”

  • Steve Sangirardi:

Hello. As one or two of you may know, I have Multiple Sclerosis and was forced to retired from teaching this past February. Retirement has its compensation, though. I’ve been able to write a lot, or turn blood into ink, as the poet Yeats put it. In June, I had a small book of short stories published by Wild Leaf Press entitled Life on the Planet. (ISBN and everything, lol.) I would appreciate any support you can give me with this book which can be obtained at the website: wildleafpress.com. Excerpts of the book are there, as well as a book review. Thank you—Steve Sangirardi: Bard715@aol.com

I have finally compiled my most discussed editorials into an eBook (in PDF format), entitled,
“Bryce’s Pet Peeve Anthology – Volume I,” which you can now download for free from our
corporate web site or specifically at:

http://www.phmainstreet.com/mba/anth.htm

The peeves included were selected not because they were necessarily the most popular,
but because they stimulated the most discussion from people like you, my readership.

The book is 213 pages in length and is produced in the popular PDF format
(requiring Abobe Reader which is available on today’s computers).

I hope you enjoy it.  Let me know what you think.

All the Best,
Tim Bryce

The 2009 Next Generation Indie Book Awards have announced that Last Call is a finalist in a number of categories including General Fiction/Novel, Best Regional Fiction, Best Cover Design and Best Overall Design.

Although I had absolutely nothing to do with the Cover Design or Overall Design (Amy Collins and the gang at The Cadence Group) I am ecstatic.

Earlier this year, Last Call was announced as a finalist by ForeWord Magazine as 2008 Book of the Year in the fiction category and won the Reader Views 2008 Award for Best Regional Fiction.

Who would of thought that a poor sharecrooper from South Alabama would’ve….wait……… thats Patches……… Never mind.
