You really should watch Glenn Beck to understand what is going on. The third party is here and it is a radical amalgam of disgruntled teabaggers and 9/12 ers who have coalesced around Republican contests and are now going to unleash their own far right candidates to purge the republicans of moderates and anyone else who smacks of conspiring with the enemy. But back to Glenn. Sweating, crying, animated, running around his set with his voice echoing in the rafters…Attacking both parties as corrupt sellouts on the American Dream to vested interests, threatening harm to politicians who think they can glom on to the new teabagger 9/12ers–Beck is certainly playing the Huey Long card.
Every Man Is A King! Socialism! Long screamed from Louisiana that Roosevelt was bringing the country down and that only he could bring justice to the United States again and empower the little man. EVERY MAN IS A KING. Beck runs around invoking the founding fathers. NO GOVERMENT INTRUSION. OUR FREEDOMS ARE UNDER ATTACK. He promises retribution, promises that those who have done this to our country will feel the wrath of the voters.
The third party is the unemployed or underemployed. It is a lot of the people who the economy wiped out. It is the fringe of the fringe who are so pissed off they can’t see straight. Glenn just sprays on more gasoline. Demigods have no real answers and neither does Glenn, but the third party strategy is clear–DESTROY THE STATUS QUO AT ANY COST. They will torpedo the republican party. Created by the Christian right that formed inside the GOP they are the Frankenstein out of control. No allegiance to their masters…Palin and Glenn and anyone else who craves power on the far far right have nothing to lose. If the whole thing backfires then so be it. Glenn Beck will still be rich. Sarah Paliln will still be rich. The teabaggers and 9/12ers will have to go back to work or continue looking for work.
