Just because New Jersey and Virginia ran weak candidates for governor doesn't mean the public was punishing Obama. The Democrats won a historically Republican congressional seat in New York (while the GOP were eating their own young). Should we assume this means the equally tone-deaf Republican party will now disappear? Beltway polls like Noonan always try to make something out of something that isn't, and that's too bad, because her insight on health-care policy vs jobs is well taken.
